Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) for men

Prior to surgical procedure it is recommended to detoxify the body from substances such as pollution, sugars, preservatives, artificial flavors, nicotine, alcohol, electromagnetic fields, radiation, etc., with tracing elements included in the serum therapy or detox therapy (Also available at Dr. Triana´s medical practice).

Women are advised to have completed their reproductive cycle in order to preserve and extend surgery results. To those who’ve had gastric bypass, or a considerable weight loss based on diet and/or exercise, it is recommended to reach their ideal weight and size before surgery according to their body and age.

This surgery last about 3 hours, and it is usually performed in combination with a Liposculpture. The patient may receive an epidural or general anesthesia. An incision is made from hip to hip (a bikini line) excess skin is then removed and a perfect suture is done.

If the patient chooses other procedures (such as liposuction) to enhance his/her new waistline, this can be done at the same surgical moment of abdominoplasty. Surgical time and recovery varies from patient to patient.

After surgery, the patient must remain under overnight monitoring. The use of a drain may be needed for a few days, to remove excess fluids from abdomen.

It is recommended for the patient to take short walks every hour in order to promote healing and a faster recovery.

The use of a girdle, a healthy eating plan and post-surgical massages are essential for patient´s recovery. Extreme physical activity should be avoided during the first eight weeks.
